Your faith expects you to meet your greatest potential in the world?!

Yes, it does.

For #Ismaili Muslims, reaching our potential is part of living an ethical life.

That commitment is why 5,400+ of us gathered in Houston this past weekend for the Ismaili Professionals Network - IPN Summit 2026!

Reaching my potential is the reason I chose to get divorced 10 years ago.
It’s why I prioritized secure attachment.
It’s why I rebuilt my life and relationships from scratch.

⚠️ I knew that if my actions were reactions to triggers, I would compromise my potential.

That rebuilding took over 5 years.

From there, I co-created my community in Seattle.

And after that, I met my husband, @reh_ukani

Together, we’ve built a life we genuinely love.

At IPN Summit 2026, I wasn’t speaking; I was listening.

I walked around asking one question:

Here’s what I experienced:
📿15 Jamatkhanas in 15 days. Surrounded by the language of my grandparents: Gujarati

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 I thought my family had been Ismaili for 5-6 generations, but it turns out that we’ve been Ismaili for 18-20 generations!

🎵🎶 This Ginan:
Eji Aash karine Ya Aly hu(n) tere dar ubhi
Kar jodine em maagu(n) Ya Shah
Dejo didaar tusi maha var-daataar
Ham tere charañe laagu(n).. ..

🪞I cried thinking of how many generations recited the same Ginan and never had a physical Didar? (about 12-14 generations)

🙏🏼 To them, I say thank you for holding on to our faith, because look at what it led to -

👀 How blessed I am to see the face of our Imam nearly every day (as a result of social media) and that he might be just about anywhere, like in my birth city of Chicago! 🏃🏻

🌏 And finally, this intergenerational spiritual sisterhood. I met these women on my first day in Rajkot, and they instantly took me in as one of their own. When someone asked them how they knew me, they said “One Jamat!” 🥹

🗽I was fortunate to attend an Ismaili Women’s Conference in NYC at the beginning of this year, and to end the year with this experience.

With just these two experiences, I can see so many sides of myself - the professional, put-together, and the absolutely ridiculously silly.

♥️ So grateful to be journeying through life with a spiritual community that is spread all across the world.

2-Year Anniversary Reflection

Marriage is a daily practice. ✨

Even the most conscious couples deeply struggle on some days.

I’ve been able to slow down the emotional flashbacks and catch myself from reacting terribly.

But lately, my brain gets stuck over what was said for a long while with no energy to move thru it.

I relive the original pain from childhood, eventually find the courage to put it into words, and then my body releases the grief.

Recently, it’s been grief about hearing things like: “How did you not think of doing/saying this?!”

Ouch. As a child, I internalized this statement to mean that there’s something deeply wrong with my brain. 😔

Now when I hear something similar, it takes me back to the past and gives me a chance to tell my younger self: I’m autistic, and so no wonder my brain doesn’t function like my parents and the majority of the world. But this doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with my brain.

It’s still hard when it comes up, even for me! And I’ve been working on myself and my patterns for 9 years. 🙈

But, by co-creating a conscious, supportive marriage, we lay the foundation for these things to come up and healing to take place. 🙏🏼

39th birthday.

The space in between. How do we actualize the space in between two people?

The back and forth between light and dark, rupture and repair, is our alchemical journey home - to Oneness.

I don’t avoid or prevent conflict. I don’t suppress or deny it. I let it happen. And then I prepare to repair it.

We need the ruptures and repairs to create a solid understanding between two people. It cannot happen any other way.

We must first dissolve the unconscious and unhealthy patterns inherited from our families.

Can we clearly hear one another?

Can we sit in the discomfort of ambiguity and uncertainty?

Can we soften in conflict?

Can we ask for what we need with kindness?

Can we break out of our own patterns of fight, flee, fawn, and freeze?

We cannot do this higher level work until we can maintain Presence under pressure.

Patterns to Presence, and then to Partnership.

This is the path that I’m walking. To actualize my full potential in this lifetime. Alongside those closest to me. 🙌🏼

We’ve figured out how to systematically shed the inherited patterns. It’s not guesswork anymore; it’s a proven process that works every time. @patternstopresence

We all need to go thru it to level up, if we intend to reach our greatest potential in this lifetime.

Most leaders blame burnout on long hours or heavy workloads.
 But the truth is, the hardest work is the invisible kind: fighting yourself.

When you silence your instincts, over-adapt to keep the peace, or push harder just to be heard, your nervous system pays the price.

The exhaustion isn’t just physical. It’s the cost of being out of alignment.

The shift happens when you stop grinding against yourself and start leading from your center.

That’s when energy returns, trust builds naturally, and influence no longer feels like a battle.
